SOS Nursery School Abobo-Gare
The SOS Nursery School of Abobo keeps on with its mission of supervision and protection of early childhood:

The SOS Nursery School Abobo has about 96 children whose age varies from 2 years and half to 5 years and it is an approximate 50/50 split of boys and girls.
It is necessary to mention that the demand is high thanks to the quality of our supervision.
2. School Results
The children’s evaluation results are as follows:
• Socio-affective level (free exchange with others)
• Psycho-cognitive level (creative mind)
• Psycho-motor (wide and fine motivity).
In addition, children have been initiated to the notions of children’s Rights in a simplified language: Listen to me – Educate me – Respect me
100% of the pupils from High stream went up to 1st year primary classes.
3. Activities
• A student parent gave us a whole load of sand. That gift permitted us to renovate the SOS Nursery school playground.
• We received 100 children from the community action centre for childhood (“the Angels of GOD”). Various play roles took place among the children of SOS Nursery school and those ones.
SOS Primary School Abobo-Gare
The SOS Primary School, which opened in October 1992, has about 210 students in 6 classrooms. There are two additional classes for practical lessons,a library and a school canteen. There is alos an SOS Nursery School for 80 children
SOS Nursery School Aboisso
The year 2008 was a real revival period for SOS Children's Villages in Cote d'Ivoire. In this spirit, the SOS nursery school completed its education program.
Functional classes: 03; filling rate 100% attendance rate 91.76%.

2. Activities
Educational projects (the importance of school, oral care and family) which were executed during the school year favored the blossoming, the development of children and the acquisition of its greater autonomy for school integration. In addition, children were educated on the concepts of right to identity, education and health. We recorded the following results: 31 children admitted to 1st year primary classes, one refused to delay of overall development and unsatisfactory performance.
We conducted two sessions of supervision of staff and we were also trained at local and regional level in the field of children's rights and in the framework of child-centered approach.
3. Extra curricular activities
We organised in the framework of twinning with the Catholic school of the town of “Maféré”; exchanges and educational games.
Generally, the year 2008 was rich in activities to the benefit of the children and staff as numbers increased by 22%, excellent results of SOS educational institutions, granting of scholarships to 5 children of the Family Strengthening Programme.
4. Prospects 2009
We would like to have a preschool teacher and renovate the SOSK.
SOS Primary School Aboisso
The SOS Primary School, which opened in October 1994, has just under 200 pupils in six classes.
Children from the SOS Children’s Village Aboisso represent 28.32% of the school numbers with 49 of the 173 total number enrolled at the school.

- On 7 Mars 2008, our children participated in the radio broadcasting "NGOHA" through poetry, songs, sketches and a discussion with a medical doctor about typhoid fever
- On 19 April 2008, SOS School took part in a cross competition organized by the ministry in charge of youth and sports
- Apart from traditional courses, English classes were taught once a week to the pupils from 3rd year to 6th year primary classes
