SOS Schools: Leh-Ladakh Primary and Secondary School
The combined SOS Primary and Secondary School opened in 1975. It is one of the largest schools for the Tibetan refugee community in India. There are nearly 2,500 children enrolled, 1600 in primary and 900 in secondary. Teacher training workshops are held here each year for staff of SOS schools in the Tibetan refugee community organised by Liverpool Hope University College.
